Egypt Raw Coffee Beans Market to Flourish at a CAGR of Around 3.04% During 2026-32
Egypt’s raw coffee beans market was valued at USD 321 million in 2025 and is projected to grow from USD 330 million in 2026 to USD 395 million by 2032, registering a CAGR of 3.04% during 2026–2032. The market is supported by established coffee consumption, recurring demand from households and commercial buyers, expanding café and specialty-coffee infrastructure, and continued investment in domestic roasting and coffee-processing capabilities.
Growing coffee consumption remains a major factor supporting the expansion of Egypt’s raw coffee beans market. In 2025, Egypt’s Coffee Division estimated annual national coffee consumption at approximately 80,000 tons, identifying coffee as the country’s second-most popular beverage after tea. Additionally, FAOSTAT-sourced data showed that per-capita coffee consumption reached approximately 0.55 kg in 2023, representing a 7.84% increase compared with 2022. Consequently, rising consumption supports recurring procurement of green coffee beans by households, cafés, restaurants, and domestic roasters.
By beans type, Robusta accounted for approximately 60% of the market in 2026, supported by its cost advantage, strong flavor, higher caffeine content, and suitability for widely consumed blends. Although specialty coffee expansion is supporting demand for premium Arabica and single-origin beans, Robusta remains important for high-volume consumption. Additionally, the household segment held approximately 55% share, reflecting the importance of at-home coffee consumption in Egypt.
In parallel, investments in coffee-processing and specialty-coffee infrastructure are strengthening the domestic supply chain. Coffee Lab announced a production facility in Egypt in November 2025 to support its network of 17 stores, while the El Wetedy coffee factory was inaugurated in December 2025. These developments are expected to support local roasting and increase demand for imported green beans. As a result, the market remains moderately fragmented, with the top five players collectively accounting for nearly 40% share, while continued consumption growth, premiumization, and processing investments support the long-term development of the industry , as stated on the recent report “Egypt’s raw coffee beans market Analysis, 2026”.
